Hey all! It’s been a while since our last communique. Quivertwist has been on the down low for a few years now... Rick has been busy writing, recording and performing keys for Widows Walk; Anj has been singing, blowing saxes, tickling keys, writing, performing and recording with The Rebel Wheel. Plus, she now plays sax for a band called Mo Sayk. Steve has been writing, performing and recording drums and percussion with The Liquid Edge; Kenyon has been travelling locally with his laptop for the past two years, recording irreverant ditties with a group of friends.
You can now download fifteen new MP3s from Kenyon’s latest release called ‘Spontaneous Mutations’ from The Monozon Collective. The tracks which could roughly be considered Quivertwist songs are: (3) The Penguin Proctologist, (6) Warpo the Clone and (11) Sun-bitch Robot. The rest of the songs contain various combinations of Kenyon’s friends (including Q.T. members) hammering out some off-the–cuff musical blather. Check out the credits below so you can see which freak did what. Enjoy!
P.S. Quivertwist’s intermittently animated corpse may rise again in the near future in a new incarnation. A new drummer has entered the fold and Steve will play some percussion.

Spontaneous Mutations: Notes and Credits
Nine of these tracks truly were spontaneous mutations because they were improvised and recorded in a one night session. This cd is basically a history of me learning how to record, mix and master audio over the past two years. This collection proves what a group of friends can accomplish musically with minimal studio equipment (laptop, input interface, 2 mics and various instruments) and a good dose of creativity. Huge thanks to all my friends for making this such a fun sonic adventure. And just think...this is only the start! *Disclaimer: Except for the first and last songs, all lyrics should be taken with a huge grain of salt while remembering that our tongues were planted firmly in cheek. None of the participants knew that these recordings would result in this compilation cd!

All tracks co-produced by the performers. * A nasty scolding goes out to Fiddlestix for knocking Scott Peever to the floor and jumping in-frame at the photo shoot. Not only did he not dress properly for the occasion, (no pants, a cracked skull and an ragged shirt) his breath stank like booze. Such belligerence will deliver you to the gates of Hell my creepy friend.
